Hobson’s fish and chips shop is more expensive than your standard chippy, but not out of line for what’s in the area. It makes up for it by simply being better. The fish is most definitely fresh and it is also perfectly cooked, it is soft and tender whereas other chip shops often have a slightly rubbery texture. The batter is light and crispy, the chips taste natural and the tartare sauce is lovely. It is clear that effort and skill goes into cooking the fish here. The service was extremely fast and welcoming, despite the restaurant being busy, the decor is nice. Clean, simple but not lacking character. If you ate here regularly, it would be tough to return back to your local.

First trip to london and cannot go back without trying Fish and chips..i was highly recommended this place by a friend and it turned out to be upto tye mark..rather better I would say What a happening lively place wuth smiling staff ready to help and serve.. would specially name Shalini the server..she advised what was the best fish for me to try and enjoy...and that too with a smile... The fish was fresh fried hot and delicious and was boneless and so were the chips..loved the Ginger beer .. They definitely have a wide range of food items to have but I only tried above... I would highly recommend this place..it is even just few yards outside Charing Cross station and can't be missed with it's blue clear signage.. Keep the good taste going guys..Cheers!!
Had a great Fish n chips fix since I landed in London . We got the cod & chips and haddock fish. Yummy and fresh. Five star to Shalini who was serving us . She was so hospitable and sweet. Love her service and effort she put in.
I recently visited Hobson’s Fish & Chips Charing Cross located in London, known for its fish and chips. The restaurant had a warm and nice atmosphere. The staff was pretty friendly and attentive, making sure we had everything we needed throughout our time there. I ordered the traditional fish and chips cod fish and I’ve got to say it’s been the best one I’ve tried so far. It was very well cooked and not greasy at all. The price was okay considering the quality of food. I would highly recommend it to anyone looking for fish and chips around town.
Wonderful fish delivered piping hot to the table, large serving. Great onion rings! More tables downstairs, as well as restroom.
Our server Kesari was so kind, attentive and is such a hard worker. She is sweet and we loved our meals. Our group got the fried haddock & chips, a grilled haddock, a fried sausage, curry sauce (so good), onion rings, house salad and feta salad. The only thing we were missing was a stronger malt vinegar but it’s probably because we are used to the kind we get in the states! Overall the restaurant atmosphere had a nice vibe, was clean, the service was superior (we loved Kesari) and the food was great.
While visiting London I came across a quaint fish n chips restaurant. Clean n attractive. Near the Thames waterfront. Hobson's service was impeccable and always with a smile. Food was hot and delicious. I had the cod fish n chips for lunch paired with a house wine. Couldn't have made a better choice. Shalini was awesome n so friendly. Thanks to all.
